My name is Kade.

Software engineer with almost 5 years of experience. This past year, I have spent working with Large Language Models and their ability to "understand" medical literature. It's been fun wiring it up with TypeScript. The great thing about working with modern LLM providers is that it is just HTTP and JSON so it's pretty easy to just write your own tooling for them.

It's just code.

I am still learning and this is just another space for me to tinker, there is no rhyme or reason for anything here. If you see a spinning record of what I am currently listening to, it's cause I thought it was cool. If you read a post about frustrations in modern tech, it's just what was on my mind. If you see a spelling or grammatical error, well it's written by a human. I was lucky enough to have the creator of HTMX as my professor for our senior capstone project. Whenever we were struggling through a project he would ALWAYS preface with "It's just code". Such a simple statement with compounding effects. It rationalized everything, there was nothing was too complicated, nothing we could not learn or understand. It's just code! I have taken that with me and use it everyday in every part of life. I hope I can pass it on to somebody still trying to learn, espcially in this post-LLM era.
